About Me

Hello, my name is Kerry and I am a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist based in Hampshire, providing online sessions.

After overcoming three traumatic experiences in my mid-twenties, through counselling and self-reflection, there was residue in the form of physical, emotional and mental symptoms. My past held me back into my thirties. I was active, adventurous, and mindful and yet some flare-ups blocked me from living life as the person I truly wanted to be: calm, courageous and clear-minded.

I was first aware of hypnotherapy when my sister experienced it before the three events noted above. I never thought it would work on me because I’m a good sleeper but I discovered that hypnotherapy was highly recommended for one of the regular physical symptoms I experienced.

After having online hypnotherapy, I was not only relieved and impressed that my symptoms improved but also that I, as was my understanding at that time, went into a sleep (which I now know as trance) and was brought back around. I’m the type of person that falls asleep as my head hits the pillow and requires two alarms to wake up. Sleep is my superpower. But how did this therapy have the ability to take me away and bring me back? Better still, how did it help me think and feel better? I still dip into my recordings whenever I feel the need, because life will always have challenges, and by the following morning any hints of my classic physical symptoms have calmed back down. I have greater awareness, coping skills and I’m kinder to myself in the way I think. The chains from my past have finally been released.

During my mid-twenties, when I realised how difficult life can be at times, I knew one day that I wanted to help others experience life more confidently. If I had the skills and knowledge that I do today, I would have made better decisions, set stronger boundaries and had clearer direction. Fortunately, I have discovered the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, and it was also life-changing studying for the qualification. Understanding how our minds work and how we think about experiences affects us, not necessarily the event itself. After years of looking externally to find happiness, contentment and fulfilment, I now understand that these things all come from within. I want to help as many women as possible realise that the solutions they’re looking for are also within them.

I am fully insured, hold a DBS certificate and am trained as an MHFA Champion.

By being courageous and kind, you'll become reacquainted with the inner confidence that was always there - sometimes life's experiences block that resource. Once you learn that it's how we think about life and what we experience, you will have better resilience in maintaining your confidence.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis, or trance, is where we are in a relaxed and natural state of mind. This allows access deep within ourselves where we can tap into our natural resources. It’s where the conscious and subconscious minds connect and we can shift from the daily active mindset of beta into the calmer and more relaxed brain waves of alpha and theta. We do this naturally, at varying depths, in our daily lives - from daydreaming to reading a book.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a collaborative ‘talking therapy’ between the therapist and the client using psychotherapy, and hypnosis. Together, they focus on the present and visualise an empowering future using well-researched strategies, including explanations of the brain and trance. It can be a brief therapy meaning that it is possible to make positive changes quickly as there is no requirement to reflect on the past to move forward.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help with a variety of physical, emotional and mental symptoms, like IBS, anxiety, low mood and much more. I specialise in supporting women with the confidence to live this life how they want to: healthy self-esteem, well-being, positive mindset and self-love.

My location

Online Zoom sessions in the privacy and comfort of your own space. You'll require a good internet connection, an uninterrupted space, a comfortable chair or bed and a fully charged technical device.

Session Information

The number of sessions vary from client to client. We can discuss the recommended duration during your initial consultation.

Payment is required in advance of each session.

Fees

Initial Consultation: duration 60-90 min @£29. This includes a relaxing hypnotherapy MP3 to help reinforce your new positive thought patterns.

Subsequent Therapy Sessions: duration 60-90 mins @£65

Qualifications

I am a qualified clinical solution focused hypnotherapist. I studied with CPHT where I obtained my Solution Focused Hypnotherapy diploma (DSFH). As well as therapeutic hypnotherapy skills with CPHT, I also received training in the most relevant neuroscience research, evidence-based psychotherapy, CBT and NLP tools.

I am a member of the AfSFH.

Admin

I am fully insured, hold a DBS certificate and am trained as an MHFA Champion.

Our therapy sessions are strictly confidential. If there are circumstances where, as a therapist, I believe you may cause yourself harm, or there is a risk to others, then it is my duty of care, by law, to inform the relevant authorities.
